Vaquita

A vaquita is a type of dolphin or porpoise. It averages about 5 foot in length and can weigh up to 120 pounds. They only live in the northern portion of the Gulf of California. They weren’t discovered until 1958. Being on the critically endangered list there is only about 10 known individuals. Vaquitas get caught in gillnets and drown. The WWF is working by removing gillnets and trying to make fishing illegal  in their natural habitats.
